Alethea Pugh is a proud Democrat from Dundee, dedicated to service, leadership, and community empowerment. She believes government should work for everyday people—seniors, working families, small businesses, and our youth.
Her career spans education, municipal government, healthcare payroll operations, insurance, utilities compliance, and juvenile justice. As a Computer Science Professor, U.S. Army Reserves Veteran, and former Dundee Town Commissioner, she brings practical experience and a service-over-ego commitment to District 48.

Public records show what Rep. Jon Albert put his name on in Tallahassee, and what it would have cost District 48. Nothing here accuses him of wrongdoing. It simply asks whether these were the right priorities for our schools, our local budgets, and our communities.

HB 215 filed
While serving on the House Select Committee on Property Taxes, Albert sponsored HB 215. It proposed expanded Save Our Homes portability for married couples and a two-thirds local vote to raise millage.
$112.6 million
Projected recurring impact
Nonpartisan House staff cited an estimated annual reduction in local property-tax revenue: $41.5M for schools and $71.1M for non-school local budgets in FY 2027–28.
